You go in for checkups once a year. You do not skip out on dental checkups. Regarding medical treatment, you have got it in the bag. But does that include your optometrist?

In addition to maintaining healthy eyesight, routine examinations can reveal the presence of potentially blinding disorders.

The following are indications that you may need margaritaville eye exams.

You Have Not Had an Eye Exam in a Long Tim, and you are Not Sure Why.

When was the last time you had a complete eye exam? If you do not remember, it is probably been a while. Many eye illnesses have no early warning signs. Thus, they often go undetected. Screening can lead to earlier treatment, reducing the risk of complications.

You are Prone to Serious Eye Problems

Some risk factors for eye disorders are within your control, while others are not, just as there are for your overall health. If any of the following describes you, it is time to schedule that annual eye exam:

    • Cataracts, diabetic retinopathy, glaucoma, or macular degeneration, either personally or through family history
    • What race are you?
    • Are diabetic, which increases your risk of developing eye diseases like retinopathy and cataracts.
    • Have a job that requires you to use your eyes frequently, like working on a computer.
    • Put on your contact lenses
    • Have long-term vision loss that persists after eye surgery or an eye injury

    Your Eyesight is Deteriorating.

You should visit an eye doctor if you are having trouble reading simple things like road signs or the text on this screen. About 150 million people in the United States need to wear glasses or contact lenses because of vision problems. Nearsighted people have difficulty focusing on far objects, while farsighted people have difficulty focusing on nearby objects.

The inability to see clearly can impede one’s regular activities, but the pressure of trying to do so can give rise to painful headaches. This occurs when the eyes have to use more effort than usual to focus on an object. A headache from eye strain typically develops after sustained visual activity, such as reading, computer work, or sewing.

    You are an Allergy Sufferer

Red, itchy eyes that do not seem to focus could be an allergy symptom. Eye allergies can manifest in various ways, and the classic symptoms of sneezing, sniffling, and a runny nose are not always present.

    • Itchiness
    • Redness
    • Burning
    • Watery, transparent effluent

    You Have Other Vision Issues

Do not put off seeing an eye doctor if you are concerned that something may be wrong with your vision. It is possible that you are experiencing the beginning stages of an eye condition, infection, or injury.
