Skin around our eyes is very sensitive and thin. This region has accumulation of blood vessels that make it prone to swelling easily. Over exposure to external environment can cause infection in this region. Due to conjunctivitis swelling of eyelids can be caused. Many times oil glands of eyelid get infected and swollen due to infection. Inflammation in eyes is also caused due to dust, smoke and mold. Some causes of swollen eyes are explained below

* Regular uses of contact lenses without clean properly and regular expose of eyes to for foreign particles can cause swelling in eyes.

* Excessive intake of alcohol and salt can cause puffiness around eyes.

* Excessive anxiety and stress can also cause swollen eyes.

* Many STD diseases such as herpes can also cause inflammation around eyes.

Home remedies for curing swollen eyes

* Soak a cotton swab in milk and put it over your eyes for few minutes.

* Take cubes of frozen rose water and rub your eyelids in circular motion gently will reduce the swelling and puffiness of your eyes.

* Add fresh cucumber juice with basil tea and freeze this mixture to form cube and massage your eyelids with this cube.

* Slice of cucumber or raw potato into thin piece and put them over your eyelids for few minutes twice a day can relieve swollen eyes.

* Add a few drops of witch hazel to an egg white, beat the mixture well then apply it over the eyelids. Wash it off gently with cold water after few minutes is another remedy for swollen eyes.

These remedies provide relief to overworked eyes and help to get rid of puffiness and dark circles around the eyes. It is generally that swelling of eyes disappears after some times but if you feel itching, pain, burning and discharge from eyes then you should consult eye specialist for proper diagnosis and treatment.

Anxiety during pregnancy results in painful childbirth in most women. But if follow certain easy steps and make an adequate preparation then it can make labour easy. Here are explained some useful tips told by Dr. Duru Shah and Dr, Rita Shah that will help to make your labour easy.

What to expect : Fear is one of the biggest factor that is responsible for the pain. During labour if women are not aware then they are anxious if the development in their body is normal or not. So it is important to tell women in advance what to expect. Women who are told what to expect in advance often experience less pain than those who are not told what to expect. Women should be also told about emotional changes that women experience. When they are aware about this they are better outfitted to deal with them.

Husband’s presence : The presence of husband is a big emotional boost for a woman and it can take considerable amount of pain away. The presence of husband helps the woman to deal with pain in a better way. Many hospitals do not allow husbands in the labour room. Many time during labour women forget right breathing technique then husband can step in and remind her the process with love and affection.

Epidural delivery option : This option is not very extensive among Asian women because many women consider that feeling of pain during birth giving process is essential. Epidural delivery is process in which delivery is done under local anesthesia that blocks the pain during labour. This process is done in cases where labour process gets prolonged. This process is little expensive and defensive.

Some work out : There are some work outs that can make your labour easy. But you should consult to your gynecologist before going to take any exercise. Here are explained some simple workout for making labour easy.

Squatting exercise : This particular exercise helps the baby to move down and gets the head locked in the birth canal. Squat helps to fix the head of the baby in right position and it helps during labour.

Strengthening exercise : There is not any woman who had not experience back pain and abdominal pain during pregnancy, it is because due to changes in body put strain on theses parts. Practice some strengthen exercise to ease that pain. Go on floor, put your hands under the shoulders now move the back upward by lowering your head. Then push the back in horizontal position by lifting the head to front.

Exercise for cramps : Women develop cramps during pregnancy in their calves. They should practice this exercise. Stand towards the wall now bring one leg forward with knee bent at right angle to the ankle. Keep other leg stretched backwards and booth feet flat on the floor. Count up to ten. Repeat the same with other leg.
