People who want to keep their vision clear as they grow in age, they should regularly eat fish. People with age-related macular degeneration (AMD) should eat fish at least twice a week to keep their eye disease at bay. Researchers have found that eating fish like salmon & tuna twice a week van prevent you from many eye diseases, the age related muscular degeneration that is said to be the leading cause of blindness. Researchers suggest that eating two to three servings of fatty fish, such as salmon, tuna, mackerel, shellfish & herring every week, would achieve the recommended daily intake of omega-3, which substantially cutting the risk of both early & late stage age-related macular degeneration (AMD). Most people can safely eat up to four portions a week, but girls & women who might have a baby & those who are pregnant or breastfeeding should limit their intake to two portions a week.
People with advanced age-related macular degeneration (AMD) who also consumed a low fat diet, eating of foods that release their sugar more slowly & who took supplemental antioxidant vitamins & minerals like vitamin C & zinc appeared to reduce their risk of disease progression by even more by up to 50%.
