The past study has suggested that people who consume plenty of unfermented soy food stuffs such as tofu could have slighter odds of getting lung cancer. However there is still no evidence that soy itself is defensive, but soy compounds known as isoflavones have been shown to sluggish the growth of cancer cells in the lab study.

For their analysis, U.S. and Chinese researchers determined to catch a synopsis of the therapeutic literature. The research team found eleven surveillance studies, small number of which followed the people for more than ten years. While evaluating all the results, researchers found that people who got the most soy in their diet had a twenty-three percent lower risk of lung cancer.

On the other hand, people who got the least soy in their diet had increased risk of lung cancer. The new finding come with several warnings, as the link between soy and cancer only apprehended for unfermented products such as tofu and soy milk. In addition to that it was only found in people who never smoked, in women and in populations from Asian countries.

The study findings were published in the American Journal of Clinical Nutrition. According to Matthew Schabath, a researcher from the Moffitt Cancer Center in Tampa, Florida, whose study was incorporated in the analysis, more study is required to figure out the connection between soy and lung cancer.

It may not be soy alone it could be a collection of other nutrients wrapped up in the food. They have been investigating this for decades. The observational studies do time and again show that healthy diets will provide beneficial effects. They just have not found the one magic pill that will be capable to prevent this.

It just tells you about the intricacy of the disease. If you want to reduce your risk of lung cancer you need to stop smoking. The next step is to be prudent of the information out there, which is one assured way to cut lung cancer risk, concluded Schabath.
