In new era of technology, smart phones are well known to provide people with unrestricted connectivity, but at the same time they have come with their own set of risks. Young women, who spend a large time peering at a small screen, cause their face to scrunch up, making an area of tension around and between the brows.
Many young women are developing premature wrinkles from staring at their smartphones. According to Dr Jean-Louis Sebagh, the London Based anti-ageing expert women were then resorting to Botox to smooth out the fine facial lines. The trend can be seen on anybody who has and regularly checks a BlackBerry or iPhone.
The wrinkles are mostly caused by the natural ageing process of the skin that unluckily is inescapable and unavoidable. But the regular practice of peering intensely focusing at the small screens generates an area of tension around and between the brows, stimulating the manifestation of unnecessary frown lines.
The Botox is a normal protein that works to relax the tightening of muscles by jamming nerve impulses. The result is the wrinkle softening and a good looking face. The effect of injected protein lasts for up to six months, however most patients needed treatments to erase wrinkles and lines as they start to come back.
After every jab the wrinkles return as less severe because the muscles are trained to relax. Smartphone-related wrinkles are the most recent condition that doctors trait to overuse of technology. The beauty therapist Nichola Joss from UK has also observed early lines among some of her female customers addicted to their BlackBerry or iPhone.
She suggests a daily DIY massage to relieve muscle stress in the face and improve blood and lymph circulation, instead of the blackberry botox.
