The researchers found that holding a simple discussion could be just as effectual as playing popular brain training games. The research team from the University of Zurich evaluates more than thirty studies which were done on memory training carried out between 1970 and 2007.

The analysis of some studies recommended that adults suffering mild cognitive impairment and those who were healthy could memorize words better after doing some memory training. But some other study found that these improvements were coordinated by those asked to make discussion regarding art.

It appears that optional intercession do just as well as cognitive intercessions. The outcomes that social intercession could be effectual in memory loss at bay comes after Age Concern warned that more than one million people aged sixty-five feel isolated and trapped in their own homes, explained review co-author Dr Mike Martin

According to Dr Martin, though not all people suffer cognitive decline in old age. It can engross memory loss, incapability to plan, pay close attention and perform tasks as quickly as before. The usual cognitive decline seems to hasten in some adults, escorting to cognitive impairment which researchers consider a risk factor for developing dementia in later life.

However, various studies recommended that brain training exercises could reverse or delay symptoms of cognitive decline. The findings do not meant that that longer, more forceful or different intercession might not be effectual, but that those which have been reported thus far have only restricted effect, added Dr Martin.
