Top tips to beat hangover after party

The main reason of hangover is dehydration because alcohol sedges the production of hormone called vasopressin that helps the body to preserve water. Due to which people urinate more when they drink alcohol. Here are explained some useful tips by Dr Graham Archard, a GP in Christchurch, Dorset to prevent hangover.

1. One should avoid orange juice because it will exacerbate the stomach, moreover caffeinated drinks like coffee will just dehydrate you more.

2. Before going to bed and drink a pint of water and add a sachet of the diarrhea treatment Dioralyte, or something similar. Alcohol causes a sugar rush and the body reacts by generating insulin, escorting to blood sugar levels to thrust. It results in headaches, shakiness and hunger. Dioralyte reinstates blood sugar and lost salts and minerals.

3. One should eat porridge or whole meal bread because they provide sturdy discharge of energy and help in restoring the levels of blood sugar. Eating banana is also beneficial as it boosts energy.

4. One should take paracetamol to relieve a sore head but should avoid taking ibuprofen which eliminate pain but at the same time can cause nausea and indigestion.

5. Many inhabitants swear by a stir fry, but elevated levels of fat can annoy the stomach.  Other useful remedy is a bacon sandwich that mingles protein with a glucose hit from the bread. But grill the bacon as a substitute of frying it to maintain oil down to a minimum.
