The problem to found fake tan often confused a lot of women. They want tan that does not streak and smudge or emit their glow. Experts have come out with a cream that triggers the natural tanning mechanism of the skin, without the requirement of any sunlight.

When a cream is rubbed into skin then it kick-starts the making of melanin, which is dark pigment required for a tan. To trigger the natural tanning mechanism means the bronzing effect appears equivalent to the real thing. At the same time fake tan defends the skin from damage of the sun and slashes the odds of cancer.

The principal objective of inducing production of melanin in individual skin is to prevent skin cancer because all form of skin cancers are known to be connected with exposure to UV radiations. The increased amount of melanin directly blocks UV radiation and alternatively triggered tanning reaction could help people to put off form sun tanning, explained researcher David Fisher.

Indoor and outdoor tanning could raise the risk of skin cancer. Lab trails on red haired and sensitive skinned mice revealed that a molecule known as cAMP activates the production of melanin. When a cream is rubbed into the skin of mice, it caused skin darkening considerably after just five days of treatment, reported the journal Genes and Development.

Melanoma is growing more precipitously than any other cancer, so it a major problem. If you look at who gets skin cancer and who is comparatively cosseted, one of the major risk factors is fair skin and the incapability to tan. Pigment production seems to be overpoweringly significant in protection against skin cancer, said Dr. Fisher

Any tanning cream would have to undergo widespread safety tests. Before it got anyplace close to extensive use, one would have to be totally sure about its safety. What is safe for a mouse is not necessarily safe for people. It should be totally safe, because you are treating healthy people.

But within just five years, they could have a lotion or potion that safely tans human skin, added Dr. Fisher.
