The basking in direst sun can escort to wrinkles is renowned fact. But people who though that their skin was safeguarded when driving or sitting in a greenhouse could be in a spiteful shock. The harm due to sun light coming through glass can be very much vivid.
Over the time, the side of the face exposed to sunrays can make your face seven year older than others. According to latest study even few hours of sitting in a car during the month of April can damage your skin. It was also found that ageing effects caused by the sun during autumn months are also far worse than realized earlier.
The glass does not block out the UVB rays of the sun but approximately fifty percent of UVA rays linked with ageing and burning do get through. The daily exposure to ultraviolet rays means the skin can age more than double as rapidly as skin that is sheltered, warned dermatologists and photo biologists.
There appear more lines and wrinkles and will be much deeper around eyes, nose and mouth. The research team from University College Hospital, Besancon, in France carried out a study to see effects of sun exposure on the sections of the face. They exhibit that women driver will age more quickly on the side which face the sun and heat.
People showed considerably more clinical signs of facial ageing on one side of their face because of driving or working close to window for many years. Clinical dimensions showed more signs of ageing that include more and deeper wrinkles. Other signs include dark spots, wrinkles, droopy and leathery skin and broken blood vessels.
They think up to ninety percent of visible signs of ageing are because of UV rays and ninety five percent of these are called UVA rays. What is required is a step-change in awareness of the damaging effects all year round, not just during summer holiday season, explained Professor John Hawk, an Emeritus Professor of dermatological photobiology and UVA expert.
