Women try numerous remedies to combat morning sickness, some take ginger tea, vitamins or antacids. Researchers revealed that for the condition which make early days of pregnancy wretched experience there is no proper cure. They observed more than four thousand women who were up to twenty week pregnant. All were given regular treatment for their nausea.

When women asked how they felt, it seemed that most treatments had small effect. Indeed some so called cures actually made them feel worse. The only cure that could have some effect was acustimulation. It is type of acupuncture that provides body small electrical shocks. This helps to reduce morning sickness in some women after three weeks.

More than eighty-five percent women suffer nausea during pregnancy and half of them actually vomit. Although, morning sickness is believed to be associated with increasing levels of pregnancy hormones, the accurate causes are unknown. Ordinary remedies for morning sickness may include vitamin B6, antacid and sugar solution. These all are obtainable over the counter.

Pregnant women can also take antihistamines, but that must be prescribed by a doctor. They can also turn to remedies like acupuncture and acupressure wristbands which are used frequently to cure seasickness. Some also take ginger, on its own or in food or tea, which is thought to cure nausea.

In spite of the affluence of different treatments available, it is not possible currently to discover with confidence any safe and effective intercessions for nausea and vomiting in early pregnancy, explained lead researcher Dr Anne Matthews from Dublin City University.
