People who suffer from stern form of migraine are at greater risk of dying prematurely due to cardiovascular disease, stroke and other causes, warned researchers in a novel study. In a study survey researchers revealed that people suffering from migraine with aura were twenty-eight percent greater risk of dying from coronary heart disease.

The assault of migraine may last up to seventy-two hours that may cause nausea, dizziness, visual disturbances and sensitivity to light and sound. The condition can mostly affect adults aged around thirty.

The research published in the British Medical Journal also explained that people suffering from migraine with aura had forty percent greater risk of dying from stroke. The risk of dying from any other disease is twenty-one percent greater as compared to risk for those not anguish migraines.

This the first study of its kind that finds a connection between migraine and untimely death from all reasons relatively than higher chances of suffering heart problems. The people who have frequent headaches be inclined to have risk aspects with a known connection to heart disease like having high blood pressure and being overweight.

Nevertheless the additional risk of untimely death for people suffering migraines with aura is still low. There was no augmented danger of dying for individuals who suffer migraines without aura, explained researchers. Millions of people worldwide suffering migraines with one in four the sternest type of known as migraine with aura.

Further, a two-fold increase of a small risk for women with migraine with aura still means that the risk is very small. The connection between aura and stroke does not appear to be causal. Aura is a risk factor and further research is observing if it is adjustable by reducing attack frequency, said Dr Anne MacGregor, from the City of London Migraine Clinic.
