The secret of losing weight could be simply a glass of water and individual need not to take expensive pill and potions. People who drink two glasses of water before each meal shed off more pounds than those who only calculate calories, showed a new study.
The team of researchers from US in a study trail calculated and compared the weight loss among dieters who drank two glasses of water before each meal with those who simply observed their calories intake. After three month they found that dieters who drank water before each meal typically lost an average of 15.5lb more than non drinkers.
Whereas prescribed weight loss cut the body’s capability to absorb fat or fiddle the chemistry of the brain but water simple fills up your stomach. Water is of course calorie free and is available readily. If stomach is full with water you feel fuller and eat less.
Along with water soups, stews and other water rich foods are good for waistline than water alone, explained the British Nutrition Foundation. People should drink more water and less sugary, high-calories drinks. It is a simple way to facilitate weight management, said researcher Dr Brenda Davy, of the Virginia Polytechnic Institute and State University.
She added that in an earlier study, she found that water drinkers ate seventy-five to ninety less calories per meal. Over the course of the day it could reach up to three hundred calories. An obesity expert Mike Lean habitually advises patients to have a glass of water before each meal if they are planning to cut down with the aim of losing weight.
