In new technique of surgery surgeons have come up with new method of knee replacement which could make patient to walk just two hour after the surgery. Most of the patients who undergone through new method of surgery were allowed to discharge from the hospital within thirty-six hours and some were allowed to go home within a day of going under a surgery.

The system was developed by Tony Smith, a consultant orthopedic surgeon at North Wales NHS Trust with a team of physiotherapists, anaesthetists, nurses and hospital managers. They joint their thoughts with the newest innovation from Australia, USA, and Copenhagen. They encouraged the patients to bend their legs instead of lying down in bed for twenty-four hours after the surgery.

Further patients were encouraged to take their first new steps as soon as possible. The system was combined with new aesthetic methods with highly effective pain management. Traditionally used anti-depressants and drugs to treat fits were being employed because surgeons revealed that they could act as pain killers. Approximately two thousand patients would benefit from the progresses in next twelve months.

The new method of surgery could be also used for ankle and hip treatments. The fact was that the patients were better than those patients who were in hospital for more than six days in other hospitals, added Tony Smith. The echelon of accomplishment has also amazed nurses surveying the new system.

She had been working there for twenty years and she could not believe how swiftly patients were recovering. In place of getting caught in supervising bed rotas as patients slowly recuperated, they were getting down to treat the patients, explained senior ward nurse Anita Gittins .
