In a new research it is found that moderate beer consumption is good for health. In their report researchers from The Beer Academy, London said that if beer is drunk with self control, it is the healthiest alcoholic beverage available with low calories.
In online study more than two thousand adults were interrogated. The results of study exposed that sixty-eight percent of the people considered beer to be a national drink. Another ten percent people considered that beer contained chemical fat and another thirteen percent had misapprehension that it was made up of chemical constituents rather than barely and hops.
In its place the study discovered beer to be fat free, containing antioxidants and minerals like silicon. Silicon is found in barely husks in large quantity and is used for preparing beer. Vitamins, fibres, minerals and antioxidants are found in rich quantity in beer.
They are trying to help people understand what beer is, what it is made of and that when drunk in moderation it actually has a lot of positive health benefits said Dr. George Philliskirk, co-founder and director, The Beer Academy. He further said that hopefully it would give people confidence when buying beer, and would take away some myths and fear about drinking beer.
In addition the study showed that half a pint of 3.8 percent bitter contain eight-five calories and half a pint of 4 percent large contains ninety-four calories.
