One of the most common causes of stretch marks is pregnancy though they can also affect teenagers and young women. There are number of treatments which promise to zap away the stretch marks. The developers of the laser therapy claim that it can spectacularly reduce the white stripes up to seventy percent.

The fluctuations in weight and growth gushes can result in marks on the thighs and pelvic region. Men can also suffer from marks on various body parts including legs, arms and back. They are caused due to tearing of the layer of skin known as dermis. To deal with stretch marks, the laser can treat acne scars, surgical scars, dark skin patches called melasma and other skin conditions.

The laser therapy works by generating columns of heat within the affected tissue that initiates the natural healing procedure which arouses the growth of healthy and fresh tissue. Earlier surgical procedures involved other laser systems and topical creams which had a poor record. The developer of the Lux1540 fractional laser treatment Dr Maurice Adatto says that only four sessions are required for the best results.

The results and clinical trails of the Lux1540 fractional laser treatment have been positive and this is the only treatment of its kind which is approved by the U.S. Food and Drug Administration. A specialist in dermatology and developer of new therapy explained that clinical studies had shown that patients treated with new treatment attained improvement up to seventy-five percent in the appearance of their stripe.

Moreover the treatment had no or little impact daily activities of the patients. In a trail over two hundred patients of with various skin theatrical clinical improvements were attained. Minority of them needed local anesthetics but there were no long tem side effects.
