Symptoms and causes of Hypotension

People are generally worried about the problem of high blood pressure and health problems which are associated with it. They often neglect the problem of low blood pressure. Low blood pressure or hypotension is also a medical problem and it should be cured with in time. There are various symptoms which show that a person is suffering from the problem low blood pressure some of them are explained here.

Symptoms of hypotension or low blood pressure :  People who suffer from the problem of hypotension feel weakness and fatigue. They often complain about dizziness and lightheadedness. They get fain easily. Other symptoms of hypotension may include discomfort, anxiety , blurred vision and pain in chest or feeling of headache.

Causes of hypotension :  Excessive bleeding is on of the reason for hypotension. Due to excessive bleeding your blood pressure can drop. The bleeding causes by injury, surgery or ulcer can lead to problem of low blood pressure. Other reason of hypotension is dehydration. You may feel weakness when you sweat a lot or when you suffer from diarrhea and vomiting in which your body gets dehydrated. Intake of some medicines can also tend to lower the blood pressure of your body.

Cardiovascular causes : Hypotension can be caused due to some cardiovascular  problems such as pulmonary embolism or pericarditis. Weak muscles of the heart can also cause low blood pressure. In the process of hypotension your blood pumps out less amount of oxygen which is not sufficient for your cells and organs to produce required amount of blood and oxygen.

Low blood pressure problem can give rise other health related problems which are associated with it. People who face above given symptoms they should understand its causes and should get the required treatment.
