How to save your self form hospital superbugs

Hospital acquired infection is a major concern when you are ill seriously because at that time you body is prone to infection. Healthy people are able to easily fight off such infections. Visit of friend and relative can cause you infection during hospital stay. It is not only the infection that poses a danger to hospital visits but malnutrition also plays a significant role. 1. Keep visitor off the bed : If you want to recover fast then you should keep your visitors off the bed, they should take seat in a chair not on your sheet. Researchers have found that removing contact of visitors with a patient bed can stop the spread of MRSA and can reduce infection by seventy percent. Dr Ron Cutler, microbiologist told that clothes can carry potentially dangerous bacteria and viruses, yet aren’t washed like your hands as you enter a ward.

2. Wash your hand regularly : Sharing of bathroom can cause infection also. Dr Ron Cutler told that more often, organism that cause infection come from the patient’s own home-grown bacteria. You should wash your hands with antibacterial soap and hot water every time you go for bathroom. It will help to dislocate the bacteria and less chance of entering into your system. You should wash your hands even when you touched the door handles and before eating anything.

3. Take photo of your doctor : Number of doctors and nurses come during the course of a day. You should know exactly which doctor is in charge of your case. Take a photo of your in charge doctor and it helps to identify him easily. It also cut down the number of medical mistakes that is caused by patient by giving information to wrong medical in charge. He might not spot appropriate changes in your condition.

4. Early morning operation is best option : You should ask for an early  morning operation because patients whose procedure start an early morning are likely to face four times less anesthesia complications such as nausea, post-operation pain and fluctuation in blood pressure than those patients whose procedure start at 4 pm.

5.Ask for extra blanket : Before morning operation clip your nails which minimizes the chances of bacteria underneath. Take a shower of hot water with antibacterial soap and scrub every corner and opening of your body. Ask for another blanket before go for anesthesia because combination of cold operation room and anesthesia can lead to mild hypothermia thaa can slow the post-operating healing process.

6. Drink plenty of water : You should drink plenty of water with the advice of your doctor. Dehydration can cause you infection, pressure sores, electrolyte imbalance in your body and that can leave you feeling of nausea. It can also weaken your immune system, heart irregularities and other complication too. Dry air way is a open access for harmful bacteria. Drink enough water before and during your hospital stay.

7. Eat more : If you notice any weight loss before and during hospital stay like your ring become loose and you need to tight your belt then increase the intake of calories with nutrients and rich energy foods. Your body require more energy to fight superbugs, so go for milk, butter and carbohydrate with te advice of your dietician.
